I am using a Shimano TLD20 reel and a Fladen Maxximus solid carbon rod 20-60lb for boat fishing with mono and I want to change to braid, what braid line would you recommend that i use for my setup, and why.

Thanks Matey Good Information.aye trevor you should put a canny bit mono on first to act as backing, also means you dont need to buy any more than 1 spool of braid![]()
Put all the braid you want on your empty reel eg. 180yards then fill the rest of it up with mono till the spool is full. Then get another empty reel take all the nylon back of your tld20, same with the braid ( different reel). Put it all back on nylon first then braid results in one full reel.
Otherwise just guessing you may not have a full spool which will only mean more turns of the handle on the wind up
