  • Hi Alan, I remember seeing a turbot caught in a Lynemouth club Sunday afternoon match which weighed over 5lb. It was caught at the railway hole or thereabouts.Can’t quite remember exactly how long ago but would guess about 6 or 7 years ago.The match was won with this turbot.I remember the guy saying it was a canny size flatty! and it was caught using razor.     21 Seniors and 1 Junior returned to the scales.
    Junior winner was Harley Thompson with a flounder weighing 414g.
    Heaviest Flat Fish went to Steve Potts with a Plaice of 870g.
    Heaviest bag went to Arron Stead with a bag weight of 7960g.
    3rd Heaviest fish went to Steve Dixon with a Cod of 1675g.
    2nd Heaviest fish went to Andy Rutherford with a cod of 2040g.
    1st Heaviest fish and the winner of the John Stephenson Memorial Open Trophy was Arran Stead with a Cod of 2355g.
