mackerel have been taken from South Shields pier. A few have been taken in the boats and commercial lads are getting them in the nets. Anybody heard owt.

did they even leave this year i know a mate of mine had 2 in december off ss pier on bait!

they was only one caught of the blocks

A lad on another site said he saw a mackrel caught with feathers off the blocks about a week or so ago. Surely with this warmer weather and the small tides they will be coming in soon. Got my carp rod ready for some fun.
