right well i went down sheilds again today, and well id say it was pretty good..i came out with around 15-20 mackeral, only kept 5, also got 3 sandeel and 2 decent coalies but just chucked them back in, and i caught some little fish on the lure via foul play lol..it looked like a baby blow fish lol...but anyway, i was there at around 10am then the little charvs came rolling in and casting over my line which peeved me off big style,

one of the daft lads caught a coalie on a lure and swore to his mates it were a mackerel :S, i didnt have a damn clue what made him think it was a mackerel, anyway he was really persistant that it was a mackerel until i showed him what a mackerel was and when i showed him he soon shut up and went red faced..a bit like this - - - -> ,

anyway i got very sunburnt, i even took sun cream but i was to caught up in the fishing that i didnt put any on, the girlfriend caught her first mackerel which was pleasing for her since it was her 1st time going and she really enjoyed it...

all in all me and michelle enjoyed the day out, until it started to get full up with the little charvs wagging school...i also took some pics of the catches when i got home, here are the pics...

Good report, sounds like you's had a good day. Get yourself up to Craster or Beadnell to spin for the Pollock, they are a good size and great fun to catch. It's a good day out as you won't be surounded by silly lads and if you take a rock rod with you might get some cod.
