Liver as bait for whiteys...

I used it a couple of year ago in the tyne and it seemed to work quite well...has anyone else use it and had results.

Don't be daft use proper bait, that's how BSA or whatever it's called started.

I've never used a shrimp or edible crab or owt like that for bait (Yes mussels I love but I am not completely mad), why use bait that tastes better and costs more than the fish you're not going to catch?

Unless its dogs liver, that tastes a bit iffy.

I've spoke to a few people who've used it with good results but whiteys go for most things, especially mackrel so it's the cheapest and best bait to use.

It certainly works, I was advocating its use some years ago. Ox or pigs liver much cheaper than chips or lug or macky !!!!
