Druridge bay/ The Burn

Fished a couple hours at Druridge bay, then a few more hours at Lynemouth. 1 plaice, 1 flounder, 1 rockling, 1 whitie, 1 codling. All undersize.

Done better than me, i fished amble open at craster, had two fish, but couldnt get them in, seemed to be getting caught on a ledge each time..

my one smile of the night was seeing movement on the rod i use with 20lb braid, hit it and brought in ------------- a crab arm and claw
bet that bugger is still wondering wtf was that

Fished Newbiggin beach Saturday 12:30pm til 7:30pm tried 3 different spots on beach then the rocks bottom of the cliffs . mate and I both blanked apart from small lobster ( returned ) so don,t be too disappointed mate at least you caught some fish . plus we got sand blasted from the new VERY SHARP SAND reminded me of trips to coast when we had egg & tomato sarnies with sand in them . SIX FOOT Steve is making good progress & hopefully will be home by this weekend , but it will be a while afore he is 100%

Hahaha Mel - loved the sarnies bit. With me it was hard boiled eggs, drop it in the sand - the old man would wipe it on his back pocket and everything would be rosey (no idea where his back pocket had been but as he was a mechanical type I fear the worse). Glad Steve's on the mend - give him my best.
