Netting!!!

wouldnt bother with shields beach for a while, looks like it being netted!!!

what are these nets for? salmon, sea trout or anything that swims along the beach, it should not be allowed that close to the shore!!!

Maybe it is from the reports of bass in our area, they net Shields beach every year but it is for Salmon and its 1/3 the way along Shields pier seaward side.

Defo the salmon boy's! they will shoot there nets as close as they dare to the shore - 1 end inshore & the other end off shore... logic being all salmon swimming along the beach looking for rivers inland to travel up and breed will be caught in their quest to reach the upstream breeding grounds.

Definately salmon nets. The new season started on Monday morning. Nice work if you can get it, a couple of months in the summer then have the rest of the year off !!
