just got back ( well saying that i only live 1/2 mile from the place)
7 hours in last bay 4 up 3 down and not one nibble
water low and almost flat apart from last 30 yards when it got up a bit
rod tips have not moved an inch all night , might as well have stopped in and played tiddle-e-winks with the dogs
am off down sawf for a couple of weeks carping on wednesday so no more beach madness till august
even money all the mackerel turn up while im away and are gone by the time i get back

fished hendon 02/08/08 through to 06 /08/08 each night between 2 up and 3 down
have forgotten what a sea fish looks like , i think i will go to the sea life centre up by the tyne and see if i can work out what the heck i am fishing for(do they allow rods ? )
at this rate its going to be a full summer of fun with the dogs and the tiddle-e-winks can see it now
have tried just about every combo of bait i can think of for here(rag,lug.squid,crab,runnydown,prawns,mussel,mackerel ) short of boillies and a feeder , might be an idea at that nothing else seems to be working , one lad had a flatty tonight and some young'ns had a couple last night
this time last year it was whitey and coaly as the dark drew in and the odd bonus flatty
think i will stick to putting 6oz on and aiming at the inshore boat when it cruses up and down at 200 M off shore like tonight , may as well have some fun out of it :red:

unlucky baz bud, get your self on roker fishing into darkness if its sport your after, its wicked with whiting, pout and the odd bonus codling,

I think I saw you today bazw. I came along Hendon around 5pm in a red Peugeot to have a few practice casts, was that your silver sprinter near the north end?
