Smooth to slight is the call from the met office so going to give it a bash close in then hit some 3-6mile wrecks on Friday.

Fully loaded with mckerel, squid, rag, runny down and mus, not expecting a great deal but you never know.

If that fails i will try on the snad banks off the pier with runny and rag for soem flatties.

Well nothing to report, never made it past the Royal Quays as all the coolant pipes on the boat had frozen and caused the boat to overheat so its will have to wait until the weather improves and i fit a new bit.

I was shocked to see the Royal quays marina was frozen, i mean what temp does sea water freeze at? I picked one bit out the water and it was about 8mm thick lol.

Depends how salty it is but i think sea water freezes around -2.
was looking forward to your reprt too.:( supposed to warm up for the weekend but it's windy.

The royal quays is a bit brackish so a lot less salty than the sea proper, anything below zero and it will start to ice over

Yeah Rich as Mark says it collects a lot of fresh water so freezes quite often ...... every year a number of times .
Learnt my lesson a number of years ago when I went out in the Ice (with Jaybee I remember) and it took a load of antifoul off the waterline ....
If it`s iced ... go back to bed ;)

I was looking forward to the report as well , but if the ice can do any damage it's just not worth it eh ,hard lines Ritchie .

Soon be Spring though ;)

In fact this was the very Day ............
