    Thanks for that, looks like for once we have hit lucky, we decided on Lynemouth as its not far to travel to my wifes elderly dad. Really looking forward to having a go, mind you im more used to blanking in Cumbria. Can lug be dug on any of the beaches at Cresswell?

    Have met quite a few members over the years when we lived in Anthorn, Cumbria and fished mainly a Silloth and Maryport. Have been out of shore fishing for a couple of years due to back surgery, now been given the all clear by my surgeon and have retired now and moved to Lynemouth to live nearer...

    Am over again visting my father in law, last time i visited it was a big tide and fished the pier by the gate in the dark, blanked but did see some decent cod pulled in. This time its not a massive tide 5.5 and the high water is 14.55 so was going to fish an hour before and down 2-3 hrs till it...

    Antiseptic wipes yep also carry those, good advice on those, stung 3 times ouch, been lucky myself as i normally just cut the line. In my job seen quite a few stings and bites of all descriptions even a dog with a barbed hook through its tongue - good old NHS treat anyone - lol and his dog
