    More,

    I used a spinner and the wife and kids used peeler crab (supplied by Dabcatcher) on a paternoster set up - they were happy catching the smaller Pollock.

    Loads of marks I didn't get chance to try (family holiday - stayed at the Roundhouse high on Harbour walk overlooking the Marina) - The beaches and Reiss and Keiss are supposed to be very good too for all kinds of flatfish. We ventured up to Scrabster also and fished for Mackerel, and the docks were full of flatfish of all sizes - the kids enjoyed that.

    Hi Peter,

    I have just been surveying the google map again and checked it at street level. The gulley I fished from was a little further along than the one near the old Lifeboat Station (the mind plays tricks). You follow the road along past the old Lifeboat station then through a high-sided canyon which brings you onto a wide area where the road ends and there are a collection of picnic tables (if you zoom in on the map just south of the old Lifeboat Station and click on to Street level you will find them). If you look out to sea across the picnic tables you will see the rocks of encasing the gulley protruding from the top of the grassy area.

    There are three protruding fingers of rock and I fished from the middle one (not that I am giving you the middle finger) - I am sure that all three would fish equally as well.

    Yes mate tapatalk when you go onto the link your replying to click the top right hand corner. It's a little icon and will pop up to reply then at the bottom there will be a pic of a camera and a photo icon click which ever one you want and just upload

    It's been called off mate, rang last night nd said that if a miracle turnaround in weather may b a chance but looks like forecast got worse, wel have to plan another day I'm gutted lol all ice been waiting for since I've booked it!
