Cracking fish mate - well deserved for braving the cold

I didn't mate as I got going too late and ended up fishing the tide up. Went to Hadston Beach, to the left of the scars. Two in the first two casts both around 1.5 lb around low water and then as the tide came in just got weeded off. Shame as there were fish about.

Heading up there tonight and some tips would be welcome. I'm going to fish north side of the channel but would south side be better. Also is it best to drop the bait into the channel or bang it out to sea. Any tips appreciated.

Well done mate - better than me. Expected to bag up in great conditions at Newbiggin but only one codling on the beach amongst 6 people. Should have stayed in bed

Not for me sadly but a lad fishing Cambois today has landed one weighed at 27lb 2 oz. :o

Just got back from having a look at Lynemouth for a possible session tonight. It's a canny sea on but I was wondering if anyone has fished off the sea defences to the right of the pipe, casting sort of horizontal with the beach. Looks like you can get into good water and then if you get one on...

Some cracking fish there mate. Been a v slow start for me this winter due to working away. Come back like today and the seas flat again 😡. It better lift for Sunday.
