me steveb and dapper fished a couple of marks on whitley beach, conditions were very good but there still wasn't many fish about. between losing loads of weights and landing on my a**e in the water (good job i had chesties on) i managed 2 codling.

ill let steveb and dapper tell you how many they got lol, baits used were rag,lug,mussel and baby squid. the fish were caught on rag,lug and baby squid. it was almost time for steveb to go and as i came with him i would have to go as well,, this is where i had one of my bright ideas....... all nighter steveb gave me the bait he didn't want and then he dropped me off at my second home tynemouth cheers for the lift steve. so away i go straight to the end on the lower level (to hide from the wind) it was very quiet and it was 3 hours before i got a fish.

a whiting well in size but it went back cos every whiting ive gutted this year has been riddled with worms, and the thing i cant get my head round was it didn't even give me a bite, now i was getting loads of very big eater crabs but i couldn't get any of them in cos they were letting go as soon as they surfaced, 1 of them felt about 2lb in weight, i soon got sick of trying to get one of these crabs in so i decided to go to the four posts for the last couple of hours, on my second cast there i got a canny bite so i picked the rod up 5mins later no more bites so the rod went back on its rest this went on for about 30 minutes until i finally got the bugger just hooked through the lip

it was around the 2lb mark so i was now a happy chappy it was caught on a big lug and mussel bait. i didn't get in the house till about 8a.m totally cream crackered. gutted you couldn't make it tompa but there's plenty more winter left mate, right im gonna get ****ed now, see ya's
