Did it have any hooks/traces in its stomach as I know of at least 3 people who had raking bites from that skeer, but for whatever reasons they didn't manage to land the fish. Actually witnessed one person rod being pulled out of the rod rest and towards the sea, but fish spat hook about 20 yds from shoreline.

crab and mussel cocktails,no hooks in its mouth but i no what you mean my son had a fish on the same place and ripped line off his reel with the ratchet on like it was a tuna,dell is a different skeer to beadnell point my friend ian alexander also a few weeks ago had a fish just under 7lb from the same mark which was a lovely kelpie aswell
