Well it was one of them days that you wish you had just stayed in bed, the day started with very little sleep due to a party next door so up at 5.15am after going to bed at 3.40am...not good start.

Down the marina and out the lock for just after 6 to such a flat sea,no wind and a nice view ahead....

We plugged away taken fish off all marks but nothing over 4lb along with aload of coalie, then the handle on my reel cracked off so that was the end of that combo for the day (have to order a new one)

We headed further out then the power on the dash went off due to a slack wire somewhere under the dash beign knocked, stopped and fixed that the best you could with some tape and a hammer :) but doing this caused some sort of surge and every fuse blew so no wipers, pumps or nothing....so anger growing and only held back with the thought of leaving the wrecks that i can now not find due to no gps or fish finder and try the millions of cod at that are reported at St Marrys.

Got up there at 10am with about 7 fish already in the hold that included a hard fighting ling of 6lb, over 10 boats fishing already there so i thought fish must be on the feed....wrong just the odd one comming in, i think we took 5-6 codling from here then we headed for home but to be honest the pressure o that one spot means it will soon be wiped out as loads of boats and a 1 mile net will take the lot.

So not the best day but we did manage a fish hold full along with coalie, pouting etc.

My catch 5 codling upto 4lb, 1 ling 5lb1/2 and a laod of coalie.

A couple of teething problems are nothing to worry about Richy at least you had the good sense to pack the obligatory hammer!

Well done on the catch, I know hopes are high but it's still early yet.

Well I thought It was A Lovely Day Out. BIG thank you to Richy (Temper Temper) Northeast1 for another invitation to fish on his dodgy boat (just kidding) Stingray. Shame about tomorrows adventure being cancelled but there's always next time. CHEER'S Richy.

Shame about the problems Rich, hope you get them sorted mate, i've had my fair share over the past few months, there's nowt worse.:(.
But you still got a hold full of fish, so thats a bonus.:):)

Get it fixed Sunday i hope jsut shame as planned to go fishing before i go away anfdmiss the Easter weekend of wrecking..still 20+ fish with issues is better than 0 fish with issues. :)

2 pints later and am more chilled out

Calm seas, a few nice sized fish for this time of year, and safe return home. It’s not all bad. I hope you get your electrics all sorted tomorrow.

A day of mixed emotions Rich, I think with that bit breaze picking up the drift would be a little faster than Friday in the total calm, mabe thats why the catch results were down a bit. Hope you get the probs sorted on Sunday, then enjoy your hols.:D

Well after i seen you at the marina i spent a further 4hours there and glad to say got it sorted and even replaced a cracked window that had been ont he to-do list for about 2 years then followed by a polish...she is like new now from plastic bottom to metal engine...hope it stays that way...sad to say it will be around 2 weeks before i get my next fishing trip.

Cheers for everyone that popped along today for a chat it broke the day up abit :)
