1st sesh this year

me and laura had our 1st sesh of the year last sunday at angel of north lakes i had 9 carp between 3 to 4 lbs all on sweetcorn on the feeder . i just hope its a start of a good season.

good on ya rod, you look quite pleased with ya self, and rightly so, thats a canny session haven't been coarse fishing since about 1986, tha wasn't a great deal of fisheries like there is nowadays. we used to fish ministracres monastry, willy's well, throckley rieth and the tyne. don't even know if you can fish these ponds anymore. might give this carp fishing a bash sometime

Never took to course fishing.
Can i ask how much it is at the angel lakes and how many rods can you fish with.

Willys well ...... I loved that place , the tench and the crucian carp fishing was great , sat there many a morning from the crack of just before it got light till it was time to go to work , and sometimes longer
Throckley Reeth as well , first place I ever fished , we used to go there every day during the school holidays , up a 5am fishing , come home for breakfast , back again till lunch , back again till tea time then stay till dark , used to count how many roach we had caught in a day , was well over a hundred.
Fished the tyne a lot too , anywhere from Newburn bridge to Wylam bridge , we used to catch flatties galore at the sewage pipe outlet at the sandy bank about a mile or so below wylam .
Amazing what memories a post can bring back.

rod if you ever want to dead south around the middlesbrough/north yorks area gis a shout as i dont need many excuses to get out.

nice to see the carp starting to were you fishing a cage or method feeder.

an open ended cage mate your not aloud method an the angel ..its good fun tho it was the 1st time i tried feeder .and ime looking forward to trying it again were away fishing in our caravan at easter plenty of time to try it out

very nice session rod m8 i was going to give the angel a go but after hearing all the negativity about the oweners how shes a b**ch i got told she tells you take lessons which cost ! :O is this true and if so how can i avoid her saying so chearse m8 ive anly done the coar for 8 month

if you done course for 8 months just book up and fish ann isnt that bad realy . she has an exelent fishery . she is just looking out for the wellfare of her fish
