The opening of the old tyne tunnel the other day is the dogs b***ocks. it was obviously going to ease traffic congestion but I'd never of thought to the degree it has, free flowing traffic at rush hours. 30 years of misery and suffering waiting in gridlocked traffic every day over.Yahoo

Didn't they say the old tunnel used to see about 38k vehicles over a set period, now they are expecting 70k, do the maths

regrettably its just a matter of time before the poor souls who use the other disaster put together some years ago by local road planners jump ship and we are back to square one

i refer of course to the road that goes past the metro centre,another fine example of a waste of our money,in its present form,in fact it was shown to be a waste of money less than 2 years after it was built,BYPASS they called it who ever planned it must have had a brain bypass.

absolute tossers each and every one of them,and if they were getting paid for their blunderings thieves as well

the sooner theirs a working mans revolution in this country the better
northern rock sold and its going to cost us (lost) millions its a good idea sez some tosser

of coure it has to be said that all these " ABSOLUTE TOSSERS" are probably decent law abiding citizens,in their own eyes(apart from stealing their wages)

since you mention speed bumps(anywhere) they are a lasting memorial to totally inadequate magistrates,judges and any one else thats involved in the policy/guide line for crime

ie we cant really put em in jail for 10 years for speeding,we will build some bumps to slow them down pollocks i say

Never a truer word spoken lingking. Just an update, went through this morning and it was still clear. Regarding the western f**k up your on about, well I had to go over there at about 2, from north side like, coming back I could see the south bound was gridlocked. After that I went back through the tunnel at about 15:00 and it was still clear.
