OK......so it was 14 years ago !

This photo was recently sent to me by one of our newer members "RON THOMPSON" and it shows his late father (Derek Edgar) with a massive 21.5lber he landed from Cambois Rocks back in February 1993.

A canny fish from the shore, don't you think !!

Happy Memories

Your photo brought 1993 straight back to the present time. :o

Dereck and I were good friends and worked at Glaxo for many years, cracking guy and a great fisher to boot. :) :)

would that be a "lol seddon"? (i'm Mark, dereks son)

not sure what my dad would have made of it like, but he did get the photo printed onto a T-Shirt at one point! so i dont think / hope he wouldn't of minded! (4 years on 1.2.07 since he passed away).

just thought it was a nice fish to show everyone, seeing as though decent fish have been quite hard to find this season!

nice to hear from someone who knew him, made it worthwhile, cheers lol.

It's Me

Hi Mark, yes it's me (lol seddon) your dad's old pal, I remember the "T" Shirt very well. Your dad wore that shirt for yonks and he wouldn't let us forget who was the Top Man. I'm sure he would be delighted that you have shared the photo with the rest of the lads, he would have loved this sight with all the info and banter.

Anyway Mark, best of luck with your fishing and thanks for the memories.

seddo :D :D :D

Small world my father in law knew/knows both Edgar and Lol from Glaxo/Synpac (spell) and speaks highly of both of them, just showed him the photo, sadly he did'nt realise that Derek had passed on,he says he remembers his sister working there as well, well he said if his memory serves him right it was his sister.;)

yes alan,

your father in law is right, my dads sister (Ann) worked at Glaxo (synpac) for a short while, before moving down to hull.
