hi just wondering if anyone has ever had a 2hr old sonik sk3 13 ft multiplyer snap in two places while in the middel of casting a 5 nz lead i got the shock of my life just heard two snaps then i looked at the water two see the tip of the rod gliding down the line towards the water followed my the second bit . no probs took it up to the blyth sonik factory and had it replaced straight away .thanks:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:mad::(:o:o:o:o:o:o

Just take two of them on each sesh, their hardly both likely to go t*ts up on the same sesh. It's called reducing the risk. By the time the next sesh comes around they'll be all replaced/repaired and ready for action again.

their not worth a scoot of p**s in my opinion. I had a greys as well, hence the name but i was scared to use it because i had no confidence in it what so ever, even though they are a nice rod, so i got rid :D

sonik and greys

sonik and greys

its the sonik sk3 and the cheaper greys rods that snap pay a bit more and u should have trouble free fishing

iv got a SK3 and a Greys GRX-S, and i bray them out all the time with no worry, both rods are identical just with diffrent names.

Here mate, just as a precaution, stick a hand line in yer box:D:D

got a sonik sk3 and never had any bother with it but i have heard of this happening far too often think i might upgrade to a century

Ive had my sonik 2 weeks. gave it a good few whacks when ive been out and seems fine fingers xed. always feel a bit worried to give it full pelt though. they are notorious for snapping though by the sounds of things. hope mine is fine.

well after mine snaped ive spoken to alot of people aboutn it who have the same rod and two of them have had the same problem one off them was in a snag and pulled up hard on is rod and his snapped the other was casting and his snapped iam thinking wheather r not to just ask 4 my money back now like. but to be fair there r alot off good reviews about them also:eek:

I have replied to Sonik posts before and in my opinion they are the dogs, i've had the SK3 14ft 5-7 oz since they first came out and am still using it today as my main rod, during the winter in rough ground i use a 7oz grip lead if the wind is in my face and have never had any problems.
