Well late start today 1pm but with the weather cracking and lighter than reported wind 3 of us set of (Graham and mate from work) we headed out the piers and a not bad sea would say slight so stopped off and hit mackerel very quick just off the south pier.

We then moved to some 4 mile wrecks and for the 2nd day in a row we never got a thing of any of them (water black upto 12 miles off)

Lads ready for first drop

We we moved about going as far as 12 miles out and tried 9 wrecks, i worked like mad to try and find the fish but the fishing was to be honest SHOCKING, infact the poorest i have known it for such a nice day weather wise in September.

So big ling season, yes it is but i think thay have eaten everything else and now full so not feeding ;)

A nice suprise was my first scad since July 2006 caught on a pirk 5 miles out, was over the moon with it and the highlight of the day lol.

So between 3 of us,,,,

2 ling
1 pouting
1 scad
loads of mackerel
4 to 12 miles, 9 wrecks covered and all tactics used.

Unlucky lads, we can't bag up every trip and still better than a day at work.

The big ling are out there, just read on BSA the JFK had a 25lber & cod of 21lb & 17lb today.

Must of been miles out as we did some miles today and could not find clean water, still always tomora :)

Looks like morning will be ok but afternoon looks to get a bit windy

I was commenting to Jason (Fishing buddy) how dirty the water looked on Friday.
