300 yard cast Excalibur C-Curve

Looks like yesterday saw the first officially measured 300 yards cast with the Excalibur C-Curve. Adam Slack joined the 300 club with a cast measuring 301 yards on the 150g at Westward Casting Club in Devon.

Adam also managed a cast of 312-2-2 on the 125 with a Zziplex M427su on a day that saw him average 298 yards over the four standard leads.

Big well done to the lad and it's good to see someone showing just how capable a "softer" rod can be if the casters technique is up to it

300 yards is some distance on any rod. Hats off to the lad. Was it a c curve what snapped on someone the other week?

My mate showed me a table today that said someone put a 300g lead 240m.

I didn't think that could be done cos most big distances I've seen are with 150g

That's ridiculous!!! Do you know what rod he did it with?

He normally uses an m427 su with a custom built stiffer tip.
