Well bagged a decent Cod on the heugh tonight guys. Used squid and rag.
Lots fishing and some nice fish pulled up. But for the amount of rods it was hard work..

Well done Mick. I was up at Hendon prom. Had a few codling and flatties. My mate lost something that gave him a real fight and a half. A couple of local lads came over and also had a go. They both thought it must have been in double figures. Turns out the sinker had also snagged on a ball of rope(found out at low tide) anyway he struggled on for a good half hour until the hook snapped and he lost it. We're going back soon for its brother. Got there around 2:30-3pm left about 9pm. Mackey,Yellow tail and sand eel cocktails. Catch you at work mate

I was 50/50 lastnight on the heugh or the target from the cliffs- seems i made the rong choice

we fished Heugh from 9.30pm till 4am and managed 1 size codling and 3 unders, Sea had dropped off in freshening wind by the time we got there

Thought about moving to Seaham-but again some good anglers on the Heugh. I thought if Steve Walkers here theres a good reason so i stuck it out.
Fancied Seaham today but pushing my luck with the missus. Plus i,m on earlies tomorrow.
