a revolutionary fishing rod as been designed out of space age materials the rod will change the face of sea fishing . with a basic over head thump 300 yards is quite possible through the use of the catapult materials every one should be able to put baits over 200 yards these rods are in the shops now called the A1 PHONE YOUR LOCAL DEALER DONT MISS OUT ON THESE

HA! what reel do you use for them kind of casts....

you may jest sir, its an old shimano, the s.o model, carries 300 yards of line, however you may think you have seen a problem, however i assure you the lead hits the water around 500 plus yards, bait is attached as well, the advantage of the s.o model is this type of cast is normal for the reel, you dont even need to pendelum either, wind up the rod, pull it around and punch, the leads moving at speed when the s.o device in the reel comes into play, the line runs around the spool causing it to rapidly slow down, the lead moving at the speed it does and the s.o or snap off device engages and the bait lands approx 500 yards plus down range, however i feel i may be over casting as yet i have not had a fish using this system :D

no need for back breaking casts, take a small boat with you on the beach, then row out with the baited rig, 500yards or more! and drop it over the side;) row back to the beach and wait for a bite. (use ultra thin braid line on a large scarborough reel).:D

not quite the way you have thought, but something i have thought about for years, one of these radio control boats, obviously it would have to be calm weather or you would lose it, i have seen it done in freshwater carp fishing though, in some ways it could be ideal, especially at long range as your bait will get there in perfect condition unlike a hard cast, more especially with soft baits like mussel and the likes

having owned a flown one of those choppers i would not try it, the cost alone never mind the handling would make it not worthwhile, especially if it went in :o, the boat though as i say i have seen used in carp fishing, then again can you imagine winding in say a thornback from 500 yards :eek:

sometimes reeling in a big cod from 180yds is a work up, let alone at 500.

i have seen thoughs "bait-boat" your on about, im sure in the future someone designs one for sea-fishing, it would be a great help to disabled anglers who want to fish at a longer range.:)
