ok people am having a little trouble with the multi might just be me but sounds a little ruff may just need the bearing cleaned so if someone could have a quick look at it would be grate full

Is it brand new? You may need to open it up and clean some of the grease off as it comes with a lot in it.

yeah its brand new a have only used it a hand full of time and always rinsed off under lookwarm water.

IF ITS LIKE A TINNY metallic sound itll be the spool rubbing on the frame , back the spool nut off a touch and flick the spool release on and off a few times, one of the reasons I don't like the reel , casts perfect but reeling in is noisy at times.

it doesn't sound tinny it sounds like some thing catching well a think. would to much oil cause it to make a nose

Take the side plate off the mag side remove the bearings soak them in lighter fluid then dry them off and put them in some wd40 put them bk in and they should run great

If you get stuck I will have a look at it they are the only reels I use they are great when the are running fine

Another common fault is a magnet jumping out of the holder and getting jammed just clipping the spool if so just clean it and put back in with super glue.

just want to thank all that's help my 525 problem striped it down and noticed that one of the bearings had very little grease on it so a did what had been said soaked the bearings in lighter fluid then a nice health squirt of wd40 util a get some tg's rocket fuel oil ordered.

one last question which tg's rocket fuel is best yellow or red as a don't want it to run to fast

I cant recommend any, never used the stuff m8 , I just use a drop of 3 in 1 or abu oil that came with a 6500 , didn't affect my distance tbh .
