1000 members is an achievement that we all should be proud of MORESO because it\'s the information WE have posted that has attracted that numbers PLUS the way the board has been administered for the benefit of all. Well done to you all. Off for a cry now. So emotional.

Now if you\'d all buy the book hahaha

It\'s quite an achievement - 1000 NESA members - well done to \"briant\" for being the 100th member......and before anyone asks...no - there\'s not a prize...lol.

A long while ago, I made myself a sort of promise.........whichever was attained first, either 1000 members or £10,000 raised for the RNLI and I\'d call it a day on NESA (as far as being Admin was concerned).

Well....one of those milestones has been reached today, but as we\'ve already reached the £7,000 mark as regards thr RNLI, I\'ve decided to stay on until BOTH targets have been attained. As there\'s only £3,000 to go (hopefully that equates to 1 more boat comp, a shore comp and an auction or two), I\'m looking for a volunteer to take over the reigns on NESA.......any body interested - apply within.

A while back (when I made NESA accessible via log-in only), I deleted a load of \"members\" who\'d never posted since joining the site, sevearl years ago. The 1000 members represents those weren\'t deleted along with all those new members who\'ve joined since.
So, I guess it\'s as true a reflection of the NESA membership as you\'re likely to get.

Looking to your reply earlier in this thread TC I think all members will agree ...... it`s time to STOP taking any more membership and time to STOP doing any more Charity work .

I`m sure you understand the sentiment ............... welll done TC don`t even think about it !

well done, cheers

Lol Norman, I understand the sentiment and appreciate it.

However.......that would be (and is) the last thing I\'d want to see.

There\'s no reason at all why the membership shouldn\'t continue to grow or NESA to stop raising money for the RNLI if I was (when I do) step down. Having said that, ofcourse it would be up to whoever takes over as to whether or not they wanted to continue with the fund raising in the name of the site.

I would hope that many more people join NESA as active members and that thousands more pounds are raised for both local RNLI Stations and also nationally.
