a bit lumpy but a few fish

got up early today so decided to get the yak out and have a hour at the wreck of shields beach


looked a bit lumpy ,but i was there, so got the yak off the car and started the paddle out to the wreck
took a bit to set the drift right as the wind and tide were pushing me in a few directions
first drop and a nice pan size cod







next 3 drops all resulted in fish but they were small so returned
then had my first coallie of the year

deep hooked so kept for skate bait


it went quite for a while so paddled out to the deeper water just off the end of the pier but it was a bit choppy to say the least , just didnt feel comfortable sitting out there , so paddled back to the wreck and had a few more drifts but no more fish

not too far about half a mile out
