Well here goes
Up at 5am went down to seek Pete and Bill and up we heads to eyemouth for a day with our very own Mr Eyemouths David and Rod.
The sun was shinning and you could just feel a good day was on the cards.
We arrived at 7am and were greeted by David and rod then blindfolded, tied and bundled into the back of a..sorry being a bit tooo dramatic
we got back in the car and followed the big green cod bus up towards st abbs way to where we were gonna be spending the day.
Rod headed off to fish Castle Rock to create more space on the mark for us to fish so we headed along the footpath that takes you along the coast towards St Abbs head the scenery was nothing short of breathtaking.
After another few hundred yards we were greeted by our first descent
well it would have made Chris Bonningtons toes curl to say the least  but were well up for it so down we went... not to bad took a while to get down it, legs were a bit shaky when we got to the bottom but carried on to the first mark.
Looking back at what we had come down made me wonder if we\'d ever get back up
the picture doesn\'t do the scale justice mind.
continued on the rest of the morning fishing and bathed in glorious sunshine an absolute crackin way to spend any day of the week but to do it in such pleasant company was the icing on the cake loved every minute of it ..billfish who\'d never had a wrasse before wasn\'t disappointed with a lovely 3-4lber right off the front of the mark
He went on to get three in total all good sized so not a bad start
Pete had the biggest of the day at about the 4lb mark and David had a lovely codling at about 3lb so a good morning was had I let the team down by not hooking into owt on mark1
then came the climb back up the mountain
I would like to say it was a doddle but ..it wasn\'t
and me legs nearly gave way a couple of times David is definitely half mountain goat and was up top long before anyone else.. bill decided to follow me bet he doesn\'t do that again
as the route I took was literally vertical Pete vanished
reached the top very out of breath and could definitely relate to how Edmond Hillary must have felt
David went back down to help Bill and then again to help Pete who for a moment thought we had lost
So on we went to mark number 2 burnmouth harbour nee where near burnmouth lol and after admiring the local beauties
we started our descent ..again
Set up and chucked out again
To be greeted by folks pulling in lobster pots
And Divers
Sick of winding in pete and bill decided to go adventuring so headed off ower the hills
and I went on to get a small wrasse later followed by a codling of around 2lb pics on Davids camera
Rod came down to tell us about his 4.5lber he got off castle rock so was well chuffed for him
stayed for a few more chucks to no avail
Then headed back to St Vedas for a few pints
I\'m sure the lads will fill you in on the rest of the expedition
But can safely say we all had a crackin time excellent company, good craic we all caught fish and were in glorious sunshine what more can you ask for..
Maybe a lift for that first mark
Would like to thank David and Rod for the excellent day thoroughly enjoyed it and to Peter and Bill for the excellent company lads first class.
Mr Weteggs up there tomorrow so part 2 to come
