Had a few hours over the North side of Tyne with Mike (Thunderpants) last night, nothing big to shout about but we didn't blank. We tried St Mary's and good old limpets and first in was Mike with a blenny, then I had my first on my first cast or should I say drop, with a surprise 38cm guestimate 1.1/2lb wrasse, a new PB of this species for me.
Great place to fish if you can get past the general public pestering you over what you caught, a wrasse, whats a wrasse, as Mike said "a fish" etc.
We also met Mardenq from nesa, nice to meet you mate.

I can't remember the rest but we had a few more tiddlers, (I told you its great fun tiddler bashing
), Mike had a small pollock and few more.?

We decided after after a few hours to move over to the pipe, while going on we could see a couple of Jewish fellas coming off, they were struggling and decided to go the long way round to get off. This was hilarious when we turned round and seen them clinging onto the wall.

Mike has a better pic. Anyway Mike had a small codling and I blanked here, I almost had a tiddler coley but it dropped off on the lift, the pipe was a bit hairy last night with water coming over even at low water. Getting off an hour after low water aswell meant a bit splodging through rock pools, guess we got the tides wrong, everyone coming off earlier had said nothing was doing so maybe we should of took note.
Great night out though with a few fish and good company as always, shame the rain put a dampers on it but it probably helped us get off the pipe while we could without swimming off. :red:
