I've had him fishing since he was 3 on and off, done the usual maggot drowning and carping. I even had him up to Scotland last November to a jacks water for him, my mate and my god son to catch their first pike. We whittled 8 jacks out.
But it was summer this year when I taught him to cast lures that he got hooked, I handed him the rod and let him reel a small jack in. He loves it and hopefully it's not a fad.
