a fish munching seal at Shields this afternoon

Had a walk on the pier at Shields this aft, seen a couple o lads at the end and a couple part way along, don't know if they had owt as there was a dirty great Seal swimming up and down! seen him there the other day.

The seals always around the pier, had a laugh last year while macky bashing. One of the lads bringing his macky up the wall and the seal trying to grab them lol.

not catch a fecking thing while that thing is about Pete, don't know how the guys got on fishing

I was down the pier Sunday and it was there, didn't catch a thing.

Well there has to be fish there or the seal wouldn't be there, but I get ya mate, not sure how much of a difference it would make to catches.

Yeah I was down on the end all day seal pup was laid up on Pier stairs till late afternoon then disappeared up the river,couple of small fish caught by float by a guy on the south wall, I blanked had loads of knocks but only managed to catch the plug on more than one occasion,had a cracking day,lovely weather fishing was ****e and all I can say is if your going down the pier .........take a bottle of jeyes fluid with you and avoid the life buoy holder at the end it stinks of p*ss

Agree i also have found that when ive fished the pier which i have alot the seals have never bothered my session there was 2 dolphins there not long ago and i had a crackin whitey and coalie session
