Me, Phil.c and his youngest son went just past the brigade hut on shields pier to do a spot of spinning yesterday around 6pm. Was quiet at first, but then some horn eels turned up and phils son caught a codling around 6oz's on the spinner! first time i've seen this.
At aroun 8pm we seen one mackerel cort, but that was about it. Around 9pm on me second last cast i had a take, but it didnt fight hard, and it turned out to be a codling of around 1lb, another first for me!!
A nice evening had by the three of us, cant wait for the weekend!!
