Abandoned/old/neglected type traps

Ok, before anyone jumps the gun I'm NOT robbing or checking people's tyre traps.

Near we're I live on the Tyne at very low water there's some tyre traps, I've been down here about 5-6 times this past week as the tide is receding to see if anyone is checking these traps. No one had been, there's not even any signs ie footprints in the mud etc.
The tyres themselves are full to the brim of mud and could do with cleaning out.

I'm thinking maybe these could have belonged to someone who does bother with them now ( they've obviously been there years as most have sea weed growing on them)

What's your thoughts on them, would you keep trying to bump into who ever owns them - should they ever show up?
Would you start maintaining them etc?

Just to add I've added my own traps in the same area.

Your thoughts please.

i know exactly where these are mate. a place i've fished for years, and i would say they've long since been abandonded. BUT you know what people are like, if they find out someone is taking an interest, it might spark their interest. (even though they haven't really got any!). personally i would take the chance if you're there anyway.

They are traps that just need cleaning out, mine are like that every spring.
Whoever normally does them might not have got round to doing them yet.

shud still get crab iin most them wether there is a lot of slek in them ya just need enough room for a crab to get under the rim and settle get em done :D
