Steamed out between the piers of Amble at around 1pm, greeted with a nice flattish sea and light winds.
Headed south a bit and first drop we were into cod around the 3lb mark. This went on for about an hour then dried up a bit apart from the smallest fish I have ever caught on rod and line.
Searched around the island and picked up 1 more cod but nowt else so decided to move back to the original mark were we got the fish. Managed a few more including the biggest of the day 5lb along with a flatty, 5 macky and a weaver fish. in all a good day nice weather and a flat sea and enough fish to keep us happy.
Headed back in at 7pm only downside the idiots that dont wind in on the pier
The best 2 of the day
Roll on the next trip.........................
