about qe2

hi guys there is not alot of info on qe2 and i been 3times now doesnt seem stocked has it even got much fish in?, only caught 1 alright fish about 1lb perch on maggot with size 14 hook.

Any u guys no were to fish to get a alright size fish and how far do i need to cast out also am i ment to be ledgin or float as there is alot of weed at the bottom.

I ve been using a pre loaded float 6bb gets me about about 20-24 feet out with about 4 maggots on hook. i put about 30-35cm line to the hook is that to long or short?. i was wondering so was my m8s if we fished the first peg after the no fishing part by the trees

whats that like am going tomorrow already went friday.

try ledger m8,and casting sometime the fish are right under your feet mate in the margins,im going to silksworth tomorrow thats a nice lake and plenty of fish in there .just been restocked again.

I've never fished the qe but a way to get some silver fish out would be to scale your tackle down, such ass trying maybe 4bb float with 4lb line to a size 20 hook to a 1lb hooklength and use a single maggot on the hook and alternate the depth you are fishing at, start off at dead depth (right on the bottom) then gradually start shortening the length of your rig till you start getting bites, then its a simple case of spraying maggots to keep the fish interested. however i dont know what you are wanting to catch so this could of been no use, however i hope it has been useful. also if you want anymore help just pm me

if your after perch you could use what i said maybe size 18 or 16 hook to about 2lb hooklength and fish either single red maggot, double red or i you up the hooksize such as a size 14 or 12 you could use a big lobworm, or using small hooks you can use small bits of worm, ie just the head, as long as your spraying maggots every other cast you should catch them, cant really give much help on the carp though but i would suggest finding some area in the lake which isnt weedy and hair rigging 2, 8mm halibut pellets and fishing them over 1 or 3mm hallibut or betaine green pellets, this way you may also catch some bream as well.

If your after carp there,use halibut boilies,corn,meat,there doing well atm,some have been doing well on them high vis boilies.

Line youll need about 10-15 Lbs main use a hair rig with a deacent carp hook i use size 7 armo hooks,as theres some deacent carp in there,and its a bit weedy atm,but try the hotel bank/pegs around 27/pegs around 57 or pegs around 107 all have been producing fish,dont bother with the narrows unless your trying for pike.

For perch worms is the way to go chopped or small whole ones,or red maggot or use both together,use a feeder rod and maggot feeder as youll keep snagging up with the float from weed,4lb main with a lower lb hook length on a size 14/16/18 hook.

Fishing for perch and carp on the same gear would be pretty hard as youll prob get snapped up alot,because of weed.

Fish in there are common/mirror/ghost/perch/roach/bream/skimmers/big eels/hybrids/tench/pike.

Theres plenty carp etc in there you just need to put the time in.

The carp mainly feed in the night there thats when i get most of my fish,but you need to be a member of wacac to do this,no day tickets allowed for night time,and if member you can only fish the same peg 2 nights then change peg,why i have no idea.

I fish approx 30 yards for carp,find a clear spot then keep yah rods/bait there,use small pva bags,or stick method with halibut pellet in.

I fished the QE2 a few years ago and not a double figure Pike and then crapped myself cause it was trying to bite me while I was unhooking it.
