I found my Abu 6500C Ultra Cast reels recently, one of them has never been used 
- a quick service (flush and lube) on one of them, then 18lb Sakuma and a 50lb shock leader.
Tried it on my Shakespeare Salt Bass and then my Greys GRSX Bass.
A four ounce sinker flies a looooong way from the Salt, and much, much further from the Greys.
In this day and age of go faster reels, mag this, oil that and other whatnots, it is a pleasant reminder of a simpler and still very, very effective reel.
And yes, I left the levelwind on...
I was toying with selling the one that's never been used but I have no idea what it would be worth and I'm not sure I could stand parting with it after playing with the other one.
Lovely little reel.
