Abu 7000 C4 Level wind

Just bought my self the above and was woundering if anyone has used one before? I normally use a sl30 but once the winter sets in my left hand cramps up, so need the level wind to carry on fishing. Whats it like for casting and pulling out (hopefully) a nice big cod?

is that the lever drag model ?? mixed reviews about them online , some saying they are for casting 2/3 oz. lures , others saying they fall apart at the sight of salt water ?? one bloke says he has 3 that he uses for uptiding on a boat and loves them ... time will tell I guess

abu reels are not what they used to be, especially the new ones with a 3 in their names. Marco is right about the 7000 syncro's, brilliant reels and the level wind on these reels hardly make a difference to the casting distance unlike other reels

Thanks lads for the advice. Well ill see what its like over the next few months hopfully it will be ok! I did have an old 7001 that was great to use and pulled in some cany size fish in with ease and casting was great. But unforatantly it decided to die on me haha.
