ABU 7500 ct

Hello,

does anyone know if these are still produced? If not is it possible to remove the levelwind from a 7500 series, that has one fitted? I like abu reels in general but I find the level wind awkward when gripping my thumb when casting.

yeah you can. take you reel apart unscrew you level wind make sure you dont lose the bits put in a safe place reassemble your reel make sure you leave the bar that your level wind on the reel for added strength, i have done it to one of my 7000,s for a good few years works fine no need to buy conversion kits happy fishing

I am seriously considering buying one of these if i sell my Penn Supermag extra.
Its on e-bay at the moment and up to £71. Loads of interest. Don,t know why cos i think they are a nightmare.
I,ll be happy if it reaches a ton. Lost 50 quid but what the hell if you don,t try you never know.

that works but the only problem is you can not get your thumb properly round the spool when you cast,conversion bars are only about a tenner and save you a lot of hassel.its up to you mate and its a simple job
