Just watched Rocky 1-5 over 2 days...

Rocky I - Excellent
Rocky II - Even better
Rocky III - still good, but not as good as II
Rocky IV - starting on the slippy slope but entertaining none the less
Rocky V - :(

...just got Rocky Balboa to go...:yltype:

A bit like Oasis - first two albums were the best

Rocky 1 and two are both mega ive just bought the alien boxset cant wait to watch all 9 discs sad i no lol

I can remember dad doing the premiere of Rocky 1 at the Odeon (as the chief projectionist), can't recall if Stallone was there for it though but they usually managed to get celebs in.
Do remember sitting watching 4 with my mate in Odeon 1 and during the final match the entire crowd were on their feet screaming at him to win :D Don't seem to see that reaction in cinema's anymore like.

Bruce Lee / Horror Movies - A blind eye would be turned when loads of us 14 year olds turned up at the flicks in Houghton - Anything with Mary Millington (God rest her soul) or Marilyn Chambers, then we'd get chased. 26 young uns would leave the cinema and kung fu kick every bin, road sign and traffic cone in sight on the way home. We'd obviously get up early in the morn to put right the damage we'd cused as kids back then weren't hooligans. :red:

I got snuck into the "Fairfield" (?) or summat like like that in S/Land where the cinema polis weren't too boshed, to see The Exorcist with my mates big sisters boyfriend. Spent most of the time thinking "Don't go upstairs - It'll only kick off again, please don't don't go upstairs, her heeds already twisted round, she's violated herself with the holy cross and I still haven't seen the projectile green vomit scene. Saw Jaws with me dad and sister - mental :D

Sly might not have been there, the premiere in your picture house may not have been the first time it was shown. There must be at least 200 cinemas in the world :D

On a roll 70's movies - the land of VHS and possibly the odd betamax or Phillips 2000 disc. Driller Killer, I Spit on your Grave, The Last House on the Left, Cannibal Holocaust, Caligula, Zombie Flesh Eaters, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Snuff, Amytivile Horrow all that lot ;)

Yeah, they do stuff all over the place. Was one thing the Odeon was good at in its day though, regularly had stars and special do's on there.
