slosh for heavy heavy stuff. 525mag for clean to mixed ground. Still a real good rod to get a kanny distance on aswell as pulling kelp beds out the sea lol.

good choice of next reel, i have the RT axe and use a 525 or a slosh 30, rare i use the abu mainly because if im using the RT its on mixed (525 ground) or rough (slosh 30 ground). once ive started to get the most out of the rod for casting good distances (when needed) on clean ground i may use the abu 6500.
