Can anybody give me some advice on marks between Seahouses and Cramlington. Just started fishing in the summer and was hooked catching Mac's at Dunstonbourgh. (prob not the best way to start as the fishing is so good, then you have the winter.)
Been trying all winter to catch cod,(or anything else) mostly from blyth pier and newbiggen rocks.
I'm still very keen but need to find more marks and more fish as even tho i catch on most trips it is always small stuff.
I need advice on baits, best rigs and marks please.

Cheers,
Gregg.

spring through summer I like the mouth of the Wansbeck (cambois side where the boat sheds are), nice spot for flatties on a calm day. Looking at about 1.5hrs each side of high tide, rag and mackeral. Bit snaggy in places but light-ish gear does the job as long as you keep out of the strong current.

greg why not join seaton sluice club, ther are several lads in it who live in cramlington, good crack and speedy way to learn.

You can park down where the boat sheds are, there's signs saying members only but I've been going there for at least 10yrs with nothing ever said. Failing that there's a car park just 5mins walk back along the road that leads into it.
