Advice on Boat Reels Please

I've got 4 rods and reels on the boat, 1 with level wind ( Shimano Charter Special ) and when i use it i still find my thumb tracking back and forth .

i tend to twist the rod to lay the line.
i have very short thumbs

if you want to revive it for what time is left boat fishing this year,stick it into rutherfords for a service

Sound advice - will see how it goes - depends on how many trips out are left - last weekend and this weekend so far is a disaster, Bummer !!!!!!

Recently bought a Shimano TLD 15 after owning a TLD 25 for years, but I'm still using my Penn GTI 310 and 320 reels(originals).Dont find the level wind a problem. The star drag on the other hand isnt as good (my opinion) as a lever drag.

aye sid used to have a tld 25,in the days of short stiff ones,a 15 is on my wish list but being O.O.W. has put that on hold
