I have a greys g-mag 6 i love the reel it has centrafugal breaks aswell as magnetic ones would it be better to take the brake pads out and just use the magnetic ones , any advice would be appreciated thanks , from graham .:question:
Try using with one beeak first. Then none. I somtimes find you get better distance on deceleration from centrafugal cos they are vertually off. But every reel is diferent trial and eror is only way
I use a Greys 7 with 30lb mono. Sweet as with both brakes and 3 in1 oil. My casting went to sh1t when I took both brakes out. Don't know if it's my crap casting or not. Never tried with 1 brake, I just put them both back on. You can get 100 yards with a nice smooth cast with both brakes on anyway.
