advice on fishing howick

hi guys wondering if anyone will be able to give me any advice on howick

i havent fished it before and was gonna give it a try with the old man this saturday to try out his new reel what i bought for his 50th birthday

best advice i can give you for fishing howick is heavy line strong rod and plenty sinkers cos it is tackle hungry ground and a must is studded waders.

eye it took my dad 20 mins to get into his present cos it had four layers of wrapping paper and 2 full rolls of cellotape on in it
