advice on rod build

Can anyone recommend a varnish or lacquer to seal my rod, its shedding all of its lacquer, its to get me through winter, but would prefer the correct product. I'll send it to rod builder next spring to be rebuilt. Cheers seen one product on ebay its called coat X seems ok.

Coat x gets a nice finish for a month or 2 !! Bondaseal is what u want mays

why not just speak to the lad u got if from my mate sure he will sort it if he dident build it .he wont no about the poor build

id advise giving it to a builder to bondaseal it mate as it's not as easy as it sounds applying it and getting a nice finish.
