Ali Cat - Hartlepool 14/06/2013.

Went out with Dave Lumely today down at Hartlepool on his catamaran Ali Cat. Also out was Famous. There were ten of us on ali-Cat and we covered lots of ground moving between hard ground and wrecks all day. Fishing was hard work but couple of anglers did well with some nice Cod. Jane the only lady on our cat did the best with biggest fish a cod of about 7lb. She had half dozen canny codling caught on shads baited with peeler tied on hooks.....sounds odd but it worked.
I only had one of about 4lb. weather was good and as day wore on it flattened right off. Shads seemed to be best method today.
Fish caught on the boat today numbered about 30-40 ish.
Nee mackeral at all.

Aye it was odd putting bait on shads---but it caught the most fish....i still cannot work out how unless it was scent thing as we fished quite a few wrecks.?????.
