Might not be the right plaice (geddit) to post this but.......

Aluminium cleaner, whats the best.

Need to get rid of months worth of grime from some aluminium, nothing major just rain, stains and general traffic dirt.

Any ideas as I know the boaty type are ingenious!

Cheers

Marc my missus got some cleaner to clean my lovely four burner and grill plate oven, she didn't read the instructions and put it on the paint work, I now have a lovely steel with a few patches of paint on. I tried it on my sink in the garage, the top aluminium sink and wooden benches, have had years of use, it was covered in old paint, glue, dried fish blood, even non stick deck paint, and anti corrosion paint we used of the high pressure gas mains, you name it is was on it. Put the stuff on left for a while and wiped it clean, it is like new.
it is Oven Mate by GHI and you can get from Lakeland Lakeland, the home of creative kitchenware, would suggest you try it on a very small area first of whatever you want cleaning, ours is now on the top shlef in the garage with the nitromorse and other nasty stuff.

there is a commercial cleaner you can get if it it for what I think its for, can't remember what is called though

used on trucks

same stuff as alloy wheel cleaner, contains something hideously acidic. brush it on, hose it off. shiny shiny shiny
