Amble SAC summer open...prize table update

Thanks to the great generosity of all at Sea Angler magazine, and Paul Fenech in particular, the prize table for the open on July 18th has jumped from £600, to around £1000 of tackle

We were promised some tackle from them, but our expectations have been well surpassed, giving us a selection of rods, reels, lures, braids and terminal tackle which will hopefully attract more anglers to try their luck.

Add to the prize table the lure of Penn points, and FREE fishing for under 16's, and we can look forward to a very enjoyable and competitive days sport ! Just hope the weather is good.

So, once again, thanks to Paul and the Sea Angler mag from all at Amble SAC.

P.S......tickets are now on sale at local tackle shops.

Just a quick reminder.... will all anglers fishing for flatties on Sunday PLEASE keep the fish in a bucket so they can be returned alive after the weigh-in.

Also, as there is no rules brochure for this competition, these are the size limits you need to know.

cod, coalies, wrasse.....35 cm
pollack...30 cm
bass....41 cm
flatfish... 27 cm
turbot... 35 cm
lsd.....38 cm

mackerel etc don't count.
