Aftetnoon lads.couple of us heading up amble way tomorow morning and wondering if anyone knows any good marks for spinning.any piers.jettys or rock marks around there.north or south.macky not showing muc.h down this way and mayb a bit sport up that way.or would it be best to call in local tackle shop for some info.cheers

I used to fish the pier and the beach on the north side of amble( walkworth) bit of a trek to get there but good sport can be had.
also used to fish on the warlord out of amble, the tackle shop in amble gives good advice on fishing spots + the bait tends to be good.

Was up the north pier a week gone Friday, hell of a walk though. We I caught my first wrasse at Newton by the sea which is ls only a few mile further up the coast, failing that I had a bass of Embleton beach which is also pretty close, been on both piers a few times at amble and never really had much luck tbh although the flatties on the north pier seem to be 10x bigger than those on the south pier. ..

Call in and see Norma at amble tackle shop, always gives me tips on where the fish are mate...

This. She was really helpful when I as trying to find my way around.

Don't know if theres mackie in yet but how about Warkworth Pier - itsthe North Pier. Bit of a walk from the car-park but as a result it will be quiet.

Maybe Pan Point/Rocks just to the south of the harbour. Only fished it in winter so don't kno what its like for spinning mind.
