Well after years of excellent service my old pal Alan has decided to retire. Nearest angling shop after February is now going to be miles from Consett.
Wishing Alan all the best in any future ventures which are easier on his health.

tackle shop has been purchased by another guy and will remain trading as a fishing tackle shop but they intend to change the name

Used the shop quite a few times however i have no idea how it is able to make a profit. More due to its location due to anything else.

a lot of course fishermen use the shop as alan provides lots of live and frozen baits both for sea , trout, and course fishing with tackle to match .
its just a little shop with excellent service.

If I could find a farmer who wanted help in shooting vermin or crows etc I would buy a high powered air rifle and help out.

mick just stick with the fishing rods m8 less trouble and you can go any ware for a day out, sold all of my guns 14 years ago saves all the hassle.
the new owner must be a local lad ? , hope he retains the sunday morning opening hours AMH used to be open 7days a week
