Anglers Beware

Just a message to all anglers who fish off Nose's Point or the Blast Beach at Seaham. On Tues Night 2/1/07, went to the Car Park at the end and found a Car well ablaze belonging to an Angler fishing on the Blast. The two lads returned when I was there and said they had been fishing from 1730hrs until 2000hrs.The car was a Write Off and the owner had only had it 8 weeks. Took both lads home to the Sunderland area and the owner was Gutted.Best leave your Car either at the entrance to the car park or slightly further up at the New Ind.Est. There hasnt been a problem for a few years but just in case its rearing its ugly head again..

Disgusting. It's always in the back of your mind when fishing off the beaten track. Well done for giving them a lift back.

very nearly went there on tuesday night ........but decided not to because i did'nt think my mates car would be safe in the car park ! what a wise decision that turned out to be

I'm gutted about this as I have wanted to fish the blast beach a few times but never had the balls to leave my car there from various reports. It would be great to live in a vigilante world where we could just leave a dummy car there whilst hiding in the long grass. If only, if only .....

Mog, Like I said, park nxt to the roundabout at the Ind.Est. entrance and you Should b ok. You are not saying that you would like to catch them bounders who torched the car are you,got to be careful here, but do you really want them to go on a nice sunny holiday...!!

No just pull the fingers out of their sockets with a big pair of pliers ,then tie them to a boulder at the low water mark by the ankles ,if they can un pick a grinner knot with pulled out fingers ,before the tide turns ,hey fair game to them - other than that we can always take the law into our own hands Ha Ha

sooner the police sort the scum out the better, perhaps broken bones would make them realise its not a game, as a visitor thats considering moving to the area i have in the last 4 months had my car broke into, window smashed and stuff stolen from it including a hidden gps, wing mirror smashed off, two ariels pinched, cars just 12 months old, considering i live on merseyside where car theft is supposed to be rife im sorry guys but the north east in my book is far worse and this alone is making me have second thoughts about moving

blackrat if it was as you say ive been talking to some wierd people . only kidding about the whites , were you buying blacks i thought you would be digging them .all the best on sunday .
